New York Regulator Says Cable Provider Failed to Expand Broadband Service as Promised

A New York regulator threatened Thursday to revoke its approval of Charter Communications Inc.’s takeover of Time Warner Cable Inc., saying Charter had did not hit objectives for increasing broadband service that have been a situation of the deal.

The New York State Public Service Commission additionally ordered Charter Communications, often called Spectrum, to pay $2 million as a penalty.
