Daniel Radcliffe Reacts to Johnny Depp’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Casting Controversy

Johnny Depp‘s casting in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has been criticized following allegations towards the actor and now Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is reacting to the controversy.

The casting has since been defended by Warner Bros., author J.K. Rowling, and director David Yates.

“It’s a really exhausting factor for me,” Daniel advised EW concerning the controversy.

“I can see why persons are pissed off with the response that they got from that … I’m not saying something that anyone hasn’t already stated — and this can be a bizarre analogy to attract — [but]within the NFL, there are many gamers arrested for smoking weed and there may be different individuals’s conduct that goes means past that and it’s tolerated as a result of they’re very well-known gamers,” Daniel stated. “I suppose the factor I used to be struck by was, we did have a man who was reprimanded for weed on the [original Potter]movie, basically, so clearly what Johnny has been accused of is far better than that.”

Jamie Waylett, who performed the position of Vincent Crabbe within the first six Harry Potter motion pictures, was let go from Deathly Hallows after he was arrested for rising marijuana vegetation.
